While he didn’t show up for those initial shots at Dat Dog, it’s become very clear that Drake intends to show New Orleans love in person while he films his “In My Feelings” video. Shots of the ultra-famous rapper with Big Freedia are one thing but when we start to hear reports that Drizzy is enjoying a po-boy at the Elysian Fields institution Gene’s, we have to wonder just how deep Drake is going to get in the city.

While film crews did their best to wave away nosy fans, a few were able to capture Drake inside the instantly recognizable pink sandwich shop.

Some fans worried about the “Drake Effect.”

Other social media accounts spotted Drake leaving Oceana Grill in the French Quarter. And another Drake-watching Twitter feed posted photos of him on a shoot in an unspecified location.

And all the Drake action brought out some big-name fans. One fan of the city and the rapper managed to spot Mayor LaToya Cantrell at a shoot in the Garden District.
