Boycotting the Super Bowl? Here’s a list of #PettyParties

Let’s be honest, no one in the city is going to watch that game.

Nope, we’re not watching that game.

You know, that game we’re supposed to be playing in? That one.

But we’re going to do what we know how to do best: be petty. Bars are already announcing their plans to boycott the illegitimate Super Bowl, and some of them are even replaying the 2010 game, which we all know the outcome of.

We’re sure there’s a quip about making your own happiness here, but we’re still too hurt.

“There are no two ways about it: New Orleans was screwed!” says the announcement on Facebook for the Anti-LIE Bowl Party. We couldn’t agree more. You’re encouraged to wear your Saints gear, and best of all, someone will be dressed up in a striped shirt for the Ref Dunk Tank. Co-hosts include Slim Goodies Diner, Pigment Custom Tattoo and Piercing, King Cake Hub, Butterfly FX, Limitless Deejaying, Nola Couture and more.

This one is probably the grand dame of #PettyParties. At least 12 performers, including Choppa himself are on the lineup for the party on Fulton Street. It all starts Sunday at noon. Click here for more information.
