Canoodling in the Crescent City: romantic spots for Valentine’s Day

More often than not, Valentine's Day gets overlooked because it falls on the day of one of your favorite parades, but this year, it shines all by itself before the big parades start.

Somewhere between the end of football season and Mardi Gras, usually there’s Valentine’s Day. Still, more often than not, it gets overlooked because of Carnival.

Here’s a list of places you can take your special someone for a romantic night on the town:

Nested in the Marigny, this “wine laboratory” offers a store where you can buy a bottle of your favorite wine, grab a glass, and pop it open right there. The courtyard is a great place to hear live music and there’s seating upstairs to share a the plates available from the kitchen.

This date night hotspot is definitely one you want to plan for, with reservations and money set aside. It’s definitely not the price range of a spontaneous dinner, but who doesn’t want to splurge on Valentine’s Day? And if you dine at Fogo during Valentine’s Day weekend, you’ll get a free dining card for a meal on your next visit.
