Alon Shaya really loves food. He loves cooking it, being around it, learning about it, and teaching others about it. And now, he’s writing about it. In March 2018, Alon published his debut cookbook, Shaya: An Odyssey of Food, My Journey Back to Israel. Part memoir and part cookbook, Alon explores the evolution of a cuisine and the transformative power and magic of food and cooking. Join us as we sit down with Alon to discuss his deeply personal journey of survival and discovery, and how he transitioned from an executive chef to owner of his own hospitality group. Don't miss your chance to connect directly with Alon after the talk. He'll be sticking around for a book signing. Books will be available for purchase at the event from local bookstore Garden District Books.
