Vagabond Inventions presents a wild evening of performances and shenanigans: A Kingdom, A CAR WASH. Join us for some unforgettable nonsense as we raise funds for the upcoming national tour of our original show, A Kingdom, A Chasm. The evening’s entertainment will include: car washes in ball gowns, interpretive ballets, live music, a photo cove, a junk garden gallery, a kiddie pool, a raffle, brief interpretations of THAT ABSURDIST PLAY, and an array of other hijinks. Car washes and their corresponding ballets with take place between 4pm-6pm, followed by live musical and theatrical entertainment from 6pm-8pm. Food will be provided by a host of local eateries, and the kiddie pool will be available for anyone looking to cool down. The evening is curated by Vagabond Inventions’ Director Jennifer Sargent. The entertainment is devised and performed by Vagabond company members Tricia Anderson, Khiry Armstead, Jen Davis, Owen Ever, Jennifer Sargent, Lisa Shattuck, and Adam Tourek. The company will be joined by dance artist Shannon Stewart, facilitating the improvised ballets, and other surprise guests from New Orleans’ experimental performance community.
