In the U.S., this day has become a celebration of French food and culture, and because our city is home to phenomenal French-owned businesses and many a Francophile, Bar Marilou is going big for Bastille Day our beloved Parisian partners Quixotic Projects. The Bastille Day celebration kicks off with a live jazz band performing a selection of beloved French classics by the jazz quartet Tangier’s Combo from 4-7pm Performances by Miss Miranda, Kitten & Lou, Elle Dorado and Franky Canga. Beats by DJ Heelturn from 7-11pm. Bastille Day commemorates the storming of the Bastille on July 14, 1789 and the birth of the modern French nation. For the French Consulate, Bastille Day is always a celebration of the French community and the French-American friendship. Free to public. Reservations highly recommended.
