Mark knows all the hiding spots in finding birds in Couturie Forest Explore the Couturie Forest while enjoying a look at City Park’s avian inhabitants. Our guide will show you their habits and alert you to their calls. Appropriate walking attire and binoculars are needed. Meet at the Couturie Forest trail-head on Harrison Avenue in City Park. Please bring your ticket. NOTE: Due to the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, Enter Harrison Avenue by Marconi Blvd. Mark Meunier holds biology degree from University of New Orleans and is a certified Master Naturalist. He has taught birding skills for the Louisiana Master Naturalist program for 7 years, and has participated in several different Christmas bird counts in Louisiana. He travels throughout Louisiana and abroad recording electronically on ebird, recording over 340 species in Louisiana. Mark is part of the New Orleans Botanical Garden staff.
