Crawling up from the polluted depths of Bayou St. John in New Orleans, Louisiana, Brother Nutria was baptized in whiskey and cyanide, and ordained by some ancient and forgotten Swamp God to come and preach the gospel-billy good news of rock and roll straight to your soul! Distorted punk surf-rock guitar leads the cacophony of hillbilly bass, gospel drums and dissonant saxophone, with subversive and perverse lyrics sung in the style of an evangelical preacher. Their sound is a little rockabilly, a little punk, a little surf, a little murder ballad and whole bunch pleasing to the Devil's ears. Expect Black Owl Theory to collaborate in experiential events that include artistry from diverse and unexpected sources such as dance, visual arts, and theater. Rooted and rising in New Orleans, we are always looking to make new inspiring connections.
