Morris Jeff Community School is marking 10 years of serving a diverse student population in New Orleans with our 10th annual Global Reach, Community Roots Gala on November 16, 2019 that takes place on our lower school campus. The Gala will feature foods from restaurants across New Orleans, music from both Preservation Hall Jazz Band and Morris Jeff's own jazz band, a silent auction with over 100 items, and wonderful community comradery. This year's gala will be an evening to reflect on the past 10 years and honor the accomplishments of the students, school leaders, faculty, and staff who have molded thousands of New Orleans' young scholars. Best of all, the proceeds of this event help us to continue to provide an International Baccalaureate curriculum to our students in Pre-K through 12th grade. As IB scholars, our students are given the opportunity to develop both disciplinary and interdisciplinary understanding that meet rigorous standards set by institutions of higher learning around the world and partake in curriculum frameworks and courses that are broad and balanced, conceptual and connected.
