Thursday, October 10, 2019Join the museum for a FREE 9-week drumming course for students ages 55+. During this series, led by teaching artist Luther Gray, students will explore museum exhibits and learn the roots and development ofthe New Orleans beat from Congo Square to 21st century rhythms.Studentswill then explore this rich history through hands-on instruction with djembe drums, dundun drums, maracas, cowbells, agogo bells, congas, bongos, claves, snare drums, tambourines and more.
