Dr. Joe Willis & Chef Melvin Stovall teach participants about local peppers and how to cook with them. Louisiana is known for the spicy kick it gives its foods. Have you ever wondered why? Our climate is prime for several varieties of peppers and we have an abundance growing in our garden right now. Dr. Joe Willis from the LSU Ag Center will educate us on everything you ever wanted to know about local peppers. Chef Melvin Stovall, III, known for his vegan Chinese pop up--Midnight Noodle, will show participants what to do with these spicy native plants. Melvin will have spicy dishes to taste and a take-away to help recreate at home.
