Les Dames D'Escoffier International (LDEI) - New Orleans Chapter is excited to introduce a bi-monthly culinary book club, available free of charge to foodies who are interested in discussing food-related fiction and nonfiction. The first meeting will take place on Saturday, October 19, 2019, 9:30AM at NOCHI Café by Gracious, 725 Howard Avenue in New Orleans. For the first meeting, the club will read and discuss Kitchen Confidential by Anthony Bourdain. Prompts for members to ponder include: How does this title still hold up? And how does it resonate with the reader knowing the author’s future as we all do now? The following meeting is scheduled for Saturday, December 14th and will feature The Food Section by Kimberly Voss. Book club attendance is free but a donation of $5 is suggested to support Les Dames d’Escoffier International and the New Orleans chapter’s goals to foster a supportive culture in our community to help women achieve excellence in food, beverage and hospitality fields.
