Bywater American Bistro (BABs) will welcome lauded Senegalese Chef Serigne Mbaye of local pop-up Dakar NOLA. Mbaye, on Wednesday, November 18th for an unforgettable collaboration. The talented toque known for his Creole-meets-Senegalese cuisine, will join forces with award-winning Chef Nina Compton to create a multi-course menu that showcases the bounty of Africa's indigenous ingredients, as well as pay homage to the culinary contributions rooted in Afro-Caribbean cuisine. Priced at $75 per person (tax and gratuity not included) the six-course tasting menu includes a welcome cocktail, with an optional cocktail pairing for $35. Offerings include soupa konji, jollof rice, green fig dumplings, and cassava pudding with rum caramel, among others.
