7 Days, 1 Simple Way To Give Back Monday, June 4th - Sunday, June 10th Bars and restaurants across the U.S. (and some around the world) will be mixing up their favorite Negroni variations from Monday, June 4, 2018 through Sunday, June 10, 2018 and donating a portion of proceeds from each one sold to a charity of their choice. In the summer of 2013, Imbibe Magazine and Campari joined forces to launch the first ever Negroni Week; a celebration of one of the greatest Napoli-born cocktails and an effort to raise money for charitable causes worldwide. New Orleans' notable participant includes acclaimed bar maven, Abigail Gullo of Compère Lapin , who's charity of choice is Centaur Stride . Based in New York, it supports both Gullo's and Compère Lapin's Chef Nina Compton 's love for horses and their use for recreational enrichment of people with disabilities. Abigail's signature creation for the week is Sicilian Negroni - Averna, Banks 5-year Rum, Punt e Mes, Nola Coffee Liqueur, and Flamed Orange Peel. Compère Lapin is located in the Old 77 Hotel & Chandlery Hotel at 535 Tchoupitoulas Street , New Orleans, LA 70130. The restaurant serves lunch daily 11:30AM-2:30PM; light bites 2:30PM-5:30 PM; Happy Hour 3PM-6 PM; and dinner nightly from 5:30PM-11PM. Brunch is served on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:30AM-2PM. Valet parking is $5 and ample municipal parking is available. For more information, please visit www.comperelapin.com or call (504) 599-2119 .
