On Easter Sunday, Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home and Cemeteries will continue their annual Easter Sunrise Service tradition for the 32nd year. The service will be performed by Pastor Kevin Cox, worship leader at the Resurrection Church, and feature world-famous New Orleans gospel-singing group The Zion Harmonizers. Following traditional practices, the service will be held along the lagoon in Metairie Cemetery. Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home and Cemeteries welcomes Christians of all backgrounds to attend this non-denominational service, which is the oldest annual Easter Sunrise Service in New Orleans. The service typically draws hundreds each year.
