The workshop, entitled Email Marketing 101, will teach participants about utilizing MailChimp for email marketing. Get Online NOLA will lead the workshop, beginning with email marketing basics. Then we will move into collecting emails, moving customers through the sales process with email, and ending with email campaign best practices. Participants should bring a laptop to get hands on experience during the workshop, though it's not required. The workshop will end in an open discussion, plus one-on-one workshop time with the experts.ABOUT THE PRESENTERSFund 17 is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to combat opportunity inequality in the seventeen wards of New Orleans by providing micro-entrepreneurs financial and educational tools for self-empowerment. This workshop is to help to educate local business owners and entrepreneurs on email marketing: what it is, why it’s important and how to use it for their business.Serah Ridolfo is the Executive Vice President of Get Online NOLA and likes to get nerdy with data and metrics. She combines her knowledge of running a small business with her education in Marketing to create digital solutions to help grow your business. You can find her enjoying live shows and spending as much time as possible outdoors when she’s not in the office.Allison Schmidt is the Marketing Manager for Get Online NOLA. She loves to use both sides of her brain by being super-organized and creating clever copy for websites and advertisements. She uses these skills plus her marketing degree to strategize and deliver marketing campaigns for small businesses in New Orleans.
