This year, Families and Friends of Louisiana’s Incarcerated Children (FFLIC) will commemorate its eighteenth anniversary working for the state’s most vulnerable families and youth. Throughout the past eighteen years, FFLIC has fought to close the state’s most abusive youth prison, Tallulah Correctional Center, helped pass various legislation to assist families, and worked with teachers and parents to create support, relationships, and community. Despite all of these gains, our fight for services, schools, and positive rehabilitation instead of punitive incarceration is not over. We need the help of our community and friends now more than ever to help us accomplish our goals. To kick off our 18th year and share about FFLIC’s vision and purpose, we will host an Open House on Friday, September 13, 2019 at 6:00 PM, welcoming potential, new, and long-committed donors and members. Come learn more about our programs, membership levels, Young Advocates Board, and more!We look forward to welcoming you! Drinks and hors d'oeuvres will be served.Additionally, guests who join as a FFLIC member/donor at the Open House will be invited to celebrate more with us at our Members Party, held later that evening from 7:30 to 11:00 PM!
