Celebrated annually on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving, #iGiveCatholic is the first-ever online giving day that celebrates our unique Catholic heritage and inspires the faithful to "Give Catholic" on #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving. Founded at the Catholic Community Foundation - Archdiocese of New Orleans, the giving day kicks off the charitable season and unites our local community in giving back to the organizations that shape our souls: our parishes, schools and nonprofit ministries. Last year, #iGiveCatholic raised more than $5.6 million for organizations in participating dioceses. The New Orleans community led the nation in religious fundraising on #GivingTuesday, resulting in nearly $1.6 million raised from 3,700 donors. This year's initiative will nearly triple the amount of parishes, schools and nonprofit ministries participating under the umbrella of 40 dioceses from across the country
