The Microsoft Philanthropies TEALS Program has expanded into Louisiana to increase access to computer science (CS) education. Currently, less than 25% of high schools, state-wide, offer a foundational CS course. Nationally, that number is closer to 50% (source: Code.org). TEALS is seeking phenomenal volunteers, with programming experience, to share their time and passion with local teachers and students, and to make CS classes possible in Louisiana. Join the TEALS team for an info session to learn about the state of CS education in Louisiana, hear from members of the local tech ecosystem, and find out how to help students as a TEALS volunteer or advocate. Special Guests: Randall Boseman, Alum of McDonogh 35 and Xavier University Jacob Robinson, Skillz Academy Tucker Klutey, Previous TEALS Volunteer To register, visit aka.ms/GeauxTEALS.
