Library staff will be demonstrating how to access and utilize tutor.com and WorldBook online. Demonstrations will be on our 48" TruTouch wireless presentation. Staff will be available to answer questions and to work with families who have individualized learning needs and objectives. Homework Louisiana/tutor.com offers free online homework help and tutoring for K through 12 grade and basic college level. These are one-on-one learning sessions via real-time chat with tutors. Subjects covered are Math, Science, English & Social Studies. WorldBook Kids is designed to encourage the young learner to be curious through visual engagement & multimedia content. Lots of activities & projects to captivate even the most reluctant readers. WorldBook Student has thousands of articles and multimedia resources that are aligned to Louisiana curriculum standards. Webquests are print-and-do activities designed to help build students' foundational knowledge by taking them on grade-range-correlated "expeditions.� WBS also has assessment tools for educators and numerous resource guides to provide blueprints for advanced learning and college and career readiness.
