Close out Jazz Fest 2020 with Live for Live Music's annual Purple Party - A Tribute to Prince. Show starts at 2AM. Purple Party: A Tribute To Prince, has announced their return to New Orleans for a late-night blowout during Jazz Fest. The all-star tribute to the late, great Prince will return to Frenchmen Street's Maison on Saturday, May 3rd (technically early May 4th) at 2:00 a.m. This year's Purple Party: A Tribute To Price lineup boasts an impressive resume, with members of Ghost-Note, Snarky Puppy, Turkuaz, John Mayer's band, Lettuce, Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals, The Main Squeeze, Trey Anastasio Band, and Magic Beans set to perform. Of note, the show will feature Ghost-Note members MonoNeon (bass) and Sylvester Onyejiaka (sax), both of whom played in Prince's bands toward the end of his life. Along with MonoNeon and Sylvester Onyejiaka, this edition of The Purple Party will feature Robert Sput Searight (Snarky Puppy, Ghost-Note) on drums, Nate Werth (Snarky Puppy, Ghost-Note) on percussion, Isaiah Sharkey (John Mayer) on guitar, Shaun Martin (Snarky Puppy) on keys, Ryan Zoidis (Lettuce) on saxophone, Maurice Brown (Anderson .Paak) on trumpet, Shira Elias (Turkuaz), Sammi Garett (Turkuaz), and Corey Frye (The Main Squeeze) on vocals, Natalie Cressman (Trey Anastasio Band) on trombone, Peter Knudsen (Ghost-Note) on guitar, and Casey Russel (Magic Beans) on keys.
