Todd Adams is a singer/ songwriter from New Orleans, LA with folk, soul, and rock influences. He invokes artists such as James Taylor, Peter Gabriel, Dave Matthews, and The Isley Brothers with his writing style and vocal approach. The experienced mariner is lyrically inspired by his days at sea and the adventures of family life. Adams refuses to take himself seriously while still being capable of endearing honesty. The multi-instrumentalist discovered his love of music at a young age playing brass instruments, eventually focusing on the tuba. From there, big brass acted as a natural transition to bass guitar. With a little help from his friends, he then learned guitar and found a constructive outlet in songwriting. Over the years Adams has written and performed music with lifelong friends in the band Stupidface, as well as, a brief yet productive collaboration in Oak and Altar (oakandaltar.com). He's also enjoyed piercing eardrums and popping tops with NOLA rockers GRäDU. On June 8, 2018 Todd will released his debut album "This is Not a Dream." Recording at Marigny Studios alongside producers Justin Armstrong and Rick G Nelson, with Nelson and Damon Kirin as guest musicians, Adams grew musically and focused on songs he longed to hear completed. This introspective, direct, self-deprecating, and often uplifting album may not be entirely groundbreaking. However, that's a good thing. It's obvious the foundation has been laid.
