Join League members from across Louisiana at our biennial convention and become more engaged and empowered in our
united mission to improve our state. The theme in 2019 is “Education in Louisiana: Children are Our Future.”
A workshop will feature presentations by Melanie Bronfin, executive director, Louisiana Policy Institute for Children, and Jan Moller, executive director,
Louisiana Budget Project.
A proposed
new LWVLA policy position, resulting from an in-depth study of Louisiana charter schools, will be discussed and voted on. The conference banquet (included in the registration fee) will be held at The Palace Café.
