Michael Watson leads his band The Alchemy, a presentation of a man who simultaneously embodies soul, rhythm & blues, and jazz. Hailing from Canton, OH, Michael Watson was born into a family of musicians and began playing trombone at a young age. After his time in the Marines brought him to New Orleans post-Katrina, his career has exploded and he now performs with several bands throughout the city including the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra. He is a prolific performer whose trombone can hardly keep up with his lightning arm power and impressive chops.
