Matthew Morgan and team at Morgan Casting are excited to host an Actors Workshop JUST FOR KIDS & TEENS in NEW ORLEANS, LA on SATURDAY, JUNE 29TH. Come join us for a fun and informative day together. We'll give you our best industry tips and inside scoop of what casting directors look for when hiring young actors. How do you make a great impression and stand out at a live audition, as well as a video audition? We will pass along our best tips! Matthew is an American and Canadian casting director & proudly a member of both CSA & CDC. He has cast over 30 feature films across North America and numerous commercials and TV series as well. Hear some of the best tips from someone with international casting insight and extensive experience working in many genres of casting: print, television, commercials and feature film (in both Canada and the United States). We love working with kids and cast them all the time in many markets. Matthew has cast films for and work with directors James Franco, Alison Eastwood, John Krasinski & Tate Taylor to name a few. Open to ages 7 - 14 years. 10:00am-12:30pm This session will cover Live Auditioning and Video Auditioning, as well as a variety of exercises and techniques including but not limited to improv work, on-camera scene work/auditioning techniques, audition do's and don’ts... plus a variety of fun acting exercises along the way. ALL PARTICIPANTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO COME PREPARED WITH A 60-90 sec monologue or to bring a commercial or film script of one's choice. Matthew will give direct feedback on each performace! We will wrap up the day with 15-30 minutes of Q&A, your chance to ask Matthew & his team whatever you like. This workshop will prepare young actors for the realities of the auditioning process. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided and covered in your ticket price. Note: This workshop is a learning experience. It is not an audition or employment opportunity. Space is limited.
