Guest Conductor Earl Lee returns for a program that will herald the start of spring. Opening, we’ll evoke feelings of nostalgia with Ives’ Symphony No. 3, “The Camp Meeting,” where the audience can reminisce on the classical European style of music with childhood hymns and bells. Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No. 1 will be brought to life by the 2018 MASNO International Piano Competition Winner, Ziang Xu. The LPO will close the program paying homage once again to master composer Beethoven with a piece befitting of the overall theme, Symphony No. 6, “Pastoral.”
