Noontime Talk: Lee Friedlander in Louisiana with Curator Russell Lord

New Orleans Museum of Art
Getting there
1 Collins Diboll Circle, New Orleans, LA

Noontime talks are casual conversations between artists, curators, and other special guests with NOMA visitors frequently scheduled throughout the year. Louisiana residents receive free admission to NOMA on Wednesdays courtesy of The Helis Foundation. Join Curator Russell Lord for a discussion about Lee Friedlander in Louisiana, a retrospective of images by the renowned photographer that solely depict his time spent in metro New Orleans over the course of the past six decades. From jazz musicians and second line parades, to architectural oddities and reflected urban scenes, the assembled photographs speak to Friedlander’s sense of playfulness and unique vision.
