NEW ORLEANS GROUP, DELTA CHAPTER Sunday MAY 19th PRESENTATION (Public Invited) "OUTDOOR COURSE" Presenter, Sara Sneath We often frame our discussions of nature around the economic value it has to humans. But there is plenty of research that suggests nature is beneficial beyond its monetary value. It is essential to our wellbeing. MS Sneath will describe how living outdoors for three months changed her perspective. Sara Sneath spent three months living outside in Wyoming, Utah and Colorado with the National Outdoor Leadership School. Back in New Orleans, she is a coastal reporter for The Times Picayune. Sara prepared herself for the high-stakes world of journalism by serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. She holds a B.S. in journalism and a B.A. in sociology, both from the University of Kansas. During her off time, she enjoys exploring state and national parks with her best four-legged friend, Goose.
