Minos the Saint

Minos the Saint returns to this intimate Barbershop turned intimate night time music venue. The Parker Barber is located next to the Ace Hotel at 600 Carondelet Street, New Orleans, LA 70130 Free Show, but donations will be accepted. BYOB Doors at 8pm, show begins at 8:30 About Minos the Saint Minos the Saint is not what you would call a “traditional” southern Louisiana band. Though Baton Rouge is home, the ensemble plays mostly original music, with a variety of influences which yield experimental-yet-accessible original folk rock, uniquely representing Louisiana and the world. Cajun and Zydeco roots are joined by Latin, Jazz, and Eastern European styles, on top of the orchestral core from which each member was trained. Founded in 2013, Minos the Saint has continually grown in size and musical shapes. Like the accordion of founding member, Ben Herrington, the band can expand, starting with Voice, and guitar, adding keyboard, accordion, drums, violin, and finally adding a classical-inspired brass section.
