The Southern Food & Beverage Museum (SoFAB) - New Orleans' non-profit shrine to the food, drink and culture of the South and named one of "11 of the World's Top Food Museums" by CNN and "12 Best Museums Around the World" by Elle Decor , will celebrate its 10th Anniversary with a Soirée and Street Party on Friday, October 19, 2018 . The celebratory evening will begin with an intimate soirée at 6:30PM inside SoFAB with champagne and light bites, followed by a festive street party at 7:30PM on Oretha Castle Haley Boulevard, featuring dishes and cocktails from 20 of the city's acclaimed restaurants and bars. Guests can explore the museum and visit the new Gumbo Garden; enjoy live Chef and cocktail demonstrations; dance to live funk and soul bands; and partake in a silent auction with incredible dining gift certificates, culinary photography, and other food experiences to support SoFAB. Participating restaurants and Chefs include Rosedale and Bayona's Susan Spicer ; Copper Vine's Mike Brewer ; Justin Devillier of Balise; Maypop and MoPho's Michael Gulotta ; Commander's Palace's Serigne Mbaye ; Chris Hannah and Nick Deitrich of Manolito and Jewel of the South; Jeremiah Tower and more.
