As founder of Louisiana Dubstep in 2008, she carried a torch that led hesitant promoters, club owners and fans to a landscape that previously did not exist. Under her wings of change, the state saw many firsts: she recorded the first widely recognized dubstep mix; booked the first dubstep headliners; organized Swamp Wamp, the first regularly scheduled dubstep party; and promoted the genre on two internationally recognized radio shows. Her efforts were rewarded with exclusives, affiliations and bookings that extended beyond the Gulf Coast, many shared with seminal headliners. The dark, aggressive style she effortlessly weaves builds on her roots as a drum-and-bass DJ and has been a signature throughout her lengthy involvement in sound system culture. Just like the Black Swan that is her namesake, she occasionally emerges and dazzles those lucky enough to witness her display.
