The Black Student Union of Loyola University New Orleans cordially invites you to our 26th Annual Dr. Norman Roussell Scholarship Gala! The Black Student Union was organized on Loyola's campus in 1969 to provide a supportive facility for African-American students in the areas of academics, campus involvement, community and social development. Recognizing the additional need for student financial support, the BSU began fundraising in 1993 for an endowed scholarship fund. This endowed scholarship is named for Dr. Norman Roussell, Loyola's first black administrator. The Gala, a fundraiser, is a celebration of Black Excellence! The Gala will be held on Saturday, April 27st, 2019 @ 7:00pm in the St. Charles Room. The dress code is gold and black cocktail attire. Admission is FREE, in honor of it being our 50th Anniversary of establishment, however you are welcome to donate to the organization whatever you can! Prior to the Gala, there will also be an Alumni Reception at 6pm in the Freret Room (2nd Floor of Danna Student Center). We invite all of our Alumni attending the Gala to come to this as well for light refreshments, drinks, and fellowship! BSU is grateful for your support and we hope to see you there!
