Vegetable gardening not only saves you money but gives you the ultimate garden to table cooking experience that you hear so much about in the best restaurants. Don’t miss this learning opportunity to start a healthy productive garden. Anna Timmerman from the LSU AgCenter will be teaching everything you need to know about the fall vegetable planting season. Anna Timmerman is the LSU AgCenter Jefferson Parish Assistant Horticulture Agent. She grew up growing veggies and herbs for farmers markets on the family farm. Later, she focused on farm-to-table growing for chefs and restaurants as well as PBS programming. Anna is a member of the Herb Society of America's New Orleans Unit and is passionate about home food production. 12:00-12:30 Cooking Demonstration of Seasonal Garden Vegetables by: Chef Grace Treffinger, Cattail Cooks This will be located in our Kitchen in the Garden, plano vegetable garden Grace Treffinger is a culinary educator, chef, and passionate about where food comes from. Grace will be cooking seasonal vegetables picked from our Vegetable Garden located in the WPA cold frames. Located in the Garden Study Center.
