Tough Old Bird are a folk duo, brothers, from Upstate NY. They’re on tour promoting their new album, The Old Great Lakes. This is their second appearance in New Orleans, and third time to share the stage with The Dirty Rain Revelers. “Heavily influenced by landscape and atmosphere, the brother duo shapes their songs to elicit visions … gray and a bit melancholy, but gorgeous and peaceful all the same.” - Red Line Roots “Perhaps this is the real beauty of Tough Old Bird; their ability to capture Rust-Belt languor and the weariness of the road without succumbing to it.” - BuffaBLOG The Dirty Rain Revelers are a New Orleans based musical couple, blending roots-rock, blues and Americana into original songwriting as well as bringing their own voices to known and obscure covers. “Melissa DeOrazio’s vocals are a consistently compelling cross-weave of warmth and tension. Spouse and lead guitarist Matthew's fluid, incisive axe work provides a suitably sturdy response. The NOLA-based duo's chemistry is well-showcased on tracks such as "Who Will Be Your Spark", "Something", and a most unique take on the George Gershwin classic "Summertime".
