Live For Live Music brings The Funk Sessions from Denver to NOLA for a Daze Between show with George Porter Jr., Robert Walter & more! Live For Live Music and Denver’s Cervantes’ are excited to bring our serial super jam, The Funk Sessions, to New Orleans for a special performance during the “daze between” Jazz Fest weekends on Tuesday, April 28th at Maison. This New Orleans edition of The Funk Sessions will feature bassist and local NOLA legend George Porter Jr. (The Meters), organ master Robert Walter (Mike Gordon/20th Congress/Greyboy Allstars), Turkuaz members Michelangelo Carubba (drums), Craig Brodhead (guitar), and Shira Elias (vocals), and The Motet members Lyle Divinsky (vocals), Drew Sayers (sax), and Parris Fleming (trumpet).
