On June 7, 1958 the singer and songwriter known as Prince was born. The New Orleans Jazz Orchestra is honoring the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer by throwing a New Orleans style celebration on his actual birthday. Prince's innovative music integrated a wide variety of styles, including funk, rock, R&B, new wave, soul, psychedelia, and pop. He has sold over 100 million records worldwide, making him one of the best-selling music artists of all time. The after-party kicks off at the Bolden Bar at 9pm with sounds by DJ Jess. Costumes are encouraged. The after-party is free for concert guests or $10 general admission. Doors open at 6:30pm // Show starts at 7:30 FAQs 1. Is this event handicap accessible? Yes! There are floor and mezzanine level areas with companion seats available for those who need them. Please contact us ahead of time so we can make necessary accommodations. What are my transport/parking options getting to the event? We have valet onsite at every concert. We also encourage our patrons to use Uber, Lyft, or any other transportation company. We want everyone to have a great time at the Jazz Market and are happy to call you a cab if that's the safest way for you to get home. 4. What can/can't I bring to the event? Bring a fun-loving attitude but leave the food and drinks at home. We'll have food trucks and plenty of drinks for you to purchase while you're with us. 5. Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? Paper tickets are great but we can scan the e-ticket on your smart phone, as well. 6. What is the refund policy? Tickets are non-refundable.
