Drag performers will take center stage during a lively brunch soiree at The Parlor, located inside the Pontchartrain Hotel, on Sunday, September 8, 2019 from 11AM-2PM. Native New Orleanian, TV personality and culinary activist Poppy Tooker, along with CrescentCare-NO/AIDS Task Force, will host Poppy's Pop-Up Drag Brunch to celebrate the launch of Tooker's newest book DRAG QUEEN BRUNCH (August 2019; Rainbow Road Press). Priced at $85 per person (including tax and gratuity), the three-course brunch will include delectable dishes and bubbly cocktail pairings from Jack Rose, recently named "Best Hotel Restaurant 2019" by USA Today 10Best. Drag sensations in attendance will include Laveau Contraire, Starr Alexander, Mistie Bonet, Lana O'Day and Jessica Champagne, all of whom appear in the book. DRAG QUEEN BRUNCH books will be available for purchase and signing.
