Theater: A LOVE LIKE THIS September 28 and 29, 2018 | 7:00 PM Ashé Power House, 1731 Baronne St., NOLA $20 until September 14; $30 September 15 -29. Click here for tickets. Chris James is back! You'll remember him from his play , Dear Black People. This national award-winning poet, TEDx speaker and playwright is returning from Atlanta with a new stage play. A Love Like This is a poetic love drama that tells the stories of two poets who fall in and out and back in love. Their love story is a beautiful contradiction. It's about trials. It's about endurance. It's about mental and emotional health. It is proof that LOVE will make you do things you swore you wouldn't, but in actuality you'd do it as many times as it took. What is love? It is a verb. The play is starring social media phenome EJ Speaks and New York City theatre veteran Jermaine McClure.
