Longue Vue Third Thursday’s will be hosting the full amenities traveling oyster bar of Two Girls One Shuck! For the past five years, these lovely lady shuckers have been bringing bodacious bivalves to events in and around New Orleans. Join us outside among the flowers of the yellow garden to enjoy two varietals of oysters for tasting with a fun and interactive shucking demonstration. Queen Shuckeeter Becky Wasden loves to share her knowledge of oysters and oyster shucking with curious individuals who want to learn more about the art of the oyster! Come find out the difference between wild caught and farm-raised oysters, learn about recycling oyster shells for coastal restoration and help us shellebrate the most marvelous mollusk in the world while soaking in the beauty of the gardens of Longue Vue. Seating is limited and the early oyster gets the pearl! $40.00 for reservations made by April 11, $45 after April 11th. In case of rain, event will be held in Lonuge Vue’s historic Playhouse.
