The 4th annual Top Taco festival takes place Thursday, Sept. 23, 2021 at Lafreniere Park. Proceeds from this year's festival will benefit the PLEASE Foundation, a non-profit that provides mentoring, leadership training, and scholarships to at-risk students in New Orleans. Top Taco fest-goers will have the opportunity to enjoy unlimited tacos, signature cocktails & tequila from over 30 of the city's best restaurants, including past winners Johnny Sanchez, Tacos & Beer, Barracuda, Los Jefes, and Velvet Cactus. Joining the past winners are Zócalo, Tacos del Cartel, Mawi Tortillas, El Paso Mexican Grill, El Cucuy, Hotel Fontenot's Peacock Lounge, Way of the Taco, Palm & Pine, Pedro's Taco & Tequila Bar, Mama's Cantina, Seither's Seafood sponsored by the Louisiana Pepper Exchange, Justine, Casa Borrega, Flamingo A-Go-Go, Espiritu, and Felipe's Taqueria. Fest-goers and celebrity judges will decide who has the best traditional and creative tacos, as well as the best traditional margarita and a creative cocktail. There will also be pop-up bars, live Latin music, tequila tastings, and other exciting things to enjoy at the fest. This year's event is an all-inclusive taco and tequila throw-down. Once inside the festival, all food and drinks are included. All attendees, including vendors and volunteers, will need to verify that they've been vaccinated or show a negative test result from the last 72 hours. Ticket Information : General Admission - $75 Includes unlimited taco and tequila tastings, soft drinks, cocktails, bar and water, access to live music performances, and a standard entry time of 7 p.m. 1st Tasting Ticket - $95 Includes unlimited taco and tequila tastings, soft drinks, cocktails, bar, and water, access to live music performances, plus an early entry time of 6 p.m. to jumpstart your tastings. VIP Ticket - $125 Includes everything featured in the First Tasting Package plus access to the VIP Lounge, which includes exclusive tacos and cocktails by tops chefs and mixologists, private bathrooms, and plenty of seating.
