Through this new body of work, she continues her inquiries into text as a uniquely human construction, examining direct and mediated processes between our hands and letterforms, as well as where and how text exists and collects. Yuka Petz is a New Orleans-based artist, designer and craftsperson. She received her MFA in Book Arts/Printmaking from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia and her BFA in Graphic Design from the Rhode Island School of Design. Her work has been exhibited in the U.S. and internationally, and her artists books can be found in the special collections of several public & university libraries. www.yukapetz.com
