Join Los Angeles based painter and artist, Penelope Gazin, for an intimate workshop and discussion through her creative process, and learn how to customize a shoe of your own at Red Truck Gallery on September 19th from 7pm to 9pm. Penelope is known for her unique style of illustrations and surreal portraits. She is the owner of Fashion brand company and is the co-founder of Witchsy. She also likes to drum in her band and dance with the LA city municipal dance squad. Penelope will also spend time mentoring in small groups, and field a Q&A at the end of the workshop to help you with our first ever global shoe customization contest. Our shoe is your canvas. Custom Culture gives people the opportunity to showcase their creativity by designing their own show for a chance to win a cash prize and their own custom shoe design. Three global winners will each receive $25,000 and have their shoe design produced by Vans. Submitted shoe designs will be judged by a public online vote and our own expert panel based on creativity, originality and overall execution. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. U.S., 13+. Enter by 9/29.
