Victor Goines is widely recognized as one of the most engaging and versatile performers and composers in music today. Drawing from his New Orleans roots, his extraordinary career includes performances throughout the world earning acclaim from audiences, critics, students and colleagues. He has worked with trumpeter Wynton Marsalis for twenty years. Goines is joined tonight by New Orleans native Don Vappie, who is well known for performing classic jazz from the 1920's through the 1940's. Vappie is famous for his original banjo style and also plays mandolin, guitar, string bass and is a vocalist as well.
