Join NOMA for an exhibition preview during happy hour for our upcoming show Mending the Sky. Enroll in a Zoom video call for Friday, September 18, from 6 to 7 pm with Curator of Contemporary Art Katie A. Pfohl and Community Engagement Curator Nic Brierre Aziz as they share the work of eleven contemporary artists and discuss themes from the exhibition. Questions and feedback are encouraged. A Zoom link will be sent to all registrants for access to the free virtual program along with a specialty cocktail recipe to try at home! Registration will close at 5:00 pm on Friday, September 18. Mending the Sky brings together eleven artist projects that envision our world after disaster. The exhibition takes its title from a Chinese fable in which a rip in the sky causes the earth to split open, bringing floods, fires, famine, and disease—until a goddess takes on the arduous task of mending the broken sky. The exhibition will open to the public on October 9, 2020 in the Ella West Freeman Gallery at NOMA. Questions about the program? Please feel welcome to contact us at education@noma.org.
