While a lot of the landscape has changed around us, our commitment to our mission has not. We have quickly taken action to meet the urgent needs of blood cancer patients during the current global health crisis. The LLS COVID-19 Patient Financial Aid Program-the first to address the needs of blood cancer patients during the pandemic-was launched on April 1, 2020, with $4.5 million from valued corporate partners and reallocations from LLS's own budget. The goal is to raise $10 million as quickly as possible in order to help as many blood cancer patients as possible. We are also rapidly adopting new opportunities to raise money toward our mission. Across Mississippi & Louisiana, the strong support from our communities has been astounding. Last year alone, we were able to provide $1.63 million in financial aid to patients locally. This year, our patients and families need us more than ever. Cancer is tough. But being a cancer patient right now is even tougher. That's why we are here. We are committed to beating cancer and supporting our patients and families. If you know someone who has been affected by blood cancer, please connect them with our informational resource center today at or call 800.955.4572. All proceeds will go toward our mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
