Volunteers needed! City-Assisted Evacuation Exercise

Central City Senior Center Evacuspot
Getting there
2101 Philip St, New Orleans, LA

Link: Hurricane season is right around the corner. Every year, the NewOrleans Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (NOHSEP)and other agencies conduct a drill of the City-Assisted Evacuation (CAE)plan, which helps 35,000-40,000 residents evacuate during a mandatory evacuation order. Volunteer to participate in this year's City-Assisted Evacuation exercise and help us test our response plans. Volunteers will role-play as evacuees from the evacuation pickup point (evacuspot) at the Central City Senior Center, on to Union Passenger Terminal downtown, and then to the Louis Armstrong International Airport to simulate air evacuations. Everyone will then receive a ride back to the Central City Senior Center where we will debrief and take lunch. Lunch will be provided for all who participate. Register to participate:
