Our walking group meets at the parking area on the Magazine Street entrance to the park jogging path (6500 Magazine St.). It's the oval-shaped parking area to the left of Oak Ally (see map HERE). We will start walking promptly at 6:45PM. Please try to arrive a little early so we can all make our introductions and maybe snap a group photo. If you need assistance, call Kenn at (504) 909-5150. Jim at (504)228-6778. See you there! New to fitness? Trying to get back into shape? Training for a race? We're here for you! This group, a collaboration between NOAGE (New Orleans Advocates for GLBT Elders) and Stonewall Sports New Orleans, is for ALL fitness levels, ALL ages, ALL genders, and ALL body types. You can go at your own pace. Whether that's running, jogging, leisurely walking, or using a wheelchair or walker, this group is for you. If you are worried that you'll be left behind, don't. Someone will walk with you. If you are the fastest person there, we'll see you at the finish line. Please consult with your primary care physician before beginning any new fitness regimen, especially if you are not used to regular exercise.
