Effervescence is excited to feature Champagne Lanson for a Wimbledon Championship Sunday Tasting! Recognizable for its Maltese cross and strict aversion to malolactic fermentation, Lanson — among the oldest houses in Champagne, dating to 1760 — also has been the only bubbles poured at Wimbledon for the past four decades. We will celebrate with a select flight (half glass) of three iconic bottles: the Black Label Brut (flagbearer for Lanson’s house style, an acid- and fruit-driven, Pinot Noir-led blend); the Rosé Label Brut (with still Bouzy Rouge lending a blushing kiss of pink); and the White Label Sec (an ever-so-slightly off-dry sparkler, perfect for pairing with Wimbledon’s classic strawberries and cream). Please join us from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, July 15, for this Wimbledon on Rampart special event — there will be Championship tennis on the televisions, Champagne Lanson in the glasses and a special tea bites menu available! Ticket incldes a half glass flight of three Lanson Champagnes. Enjoy at our tasting table to chat about the wines, or grab a seat and order from our bites menu (available for purchase). Upgrade to a full glass flight available for purchase on arrival for $60.
