Every fundraiser has had to pivot in the last year, trying to answer questions like “What do I do about my organization’s fundraising event?” And organizations continue to lean on fundraisers for guidance on how to host events: Move events online? Reschedule with fingers crossed? Cancel altogether? This workshop isn't a checklist for how to make a virtual event happen successfully at your nonprofit. It's an opportunity to rethink the role that an event plays in your fundraising during 2021. If the idea of canning your event this year sounds like music to your ears, this workshop will offer you ideas for how to use your time and energy for other fundraising activities that might be better suited to this moment in time. We'll focus on ways to creatively engage three of the biggest income sources of pre-COVID events: sponsors, planning committee members and volunteers, and attendees. As always, this workshop will be practical and hands-on, and we'll aim to send you off having replaced the pre-2020 event model with strategies that work better for a 2021 world. When: Wednesday, February 10th from 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Attendees will receive an electronic Certificate of Participation after completing the workshop. In order to comply with local community health guidelines while continuing to help nonprofits thrive through fundraising, we are offering this live, virtual workshop online through Zoom. A link and instructions to join will be sent to you after you register. Cost: $20 per person, or pair this workshop with "Self-Care for Nonprofit Fundraisers" on February 24th for $30 (see link below for details on the Self-Care workshop).
