Please join us for the Equity Index's upcoming Educational Equity Community of Practice Retreat, focused on best practices in educational equity and equity issues specific to New Orleans schools. During the retreat we aim to: Reconvene and familiarize members of the Community of Practice and Equity Index partners Present key findings from recent data on equity indicators and impact Initiate a discussion on best practices in educational equity Discuss plans for the Equity Index and Community of Practice moving forward The analysis presentations will look at equity indicators across open enrollment schools by School Performance Grades (A+B vs D+F) and school experiences of New Orleans students who end up in the juvenile justice system. We will also introduce our plans to produce an Education Equity Handbook to promote equity at the school and system-level. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
